Dr. Humiston’s Candida Kit comes with three bottles of NuFlora probiotic blend, which is more than sufficient to last through Steps 1, 2 and 3 for most people. Also, most people no longer need to supplement probiotics once they’ve reached the Maintenance phase, because yeast is under control and the bacterial flora is designed to maintain itself naturally.
However, certain people find that taking probiotics for a longer period benefits them. In this case, one to two capsules a day is recommended. Also, if one has to take antibiotics, it is a very good idea to take probiotics at the same time and for at least a week afterward to help suppress the opportunistic growth of yeast as a side effect of antibiotic therapy.
